HIRMEOS Final Workshop <\/strong>Shaping new Ways to open the Book<\/strong><\/em>, Marseille, 2 June 2019<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The HIRMEOS project is looking for members of the research community and scholarly communication experts who are interested in contributing to its workshop Shaping new Ways to Open the Book<\/em> by participating as a discussant. The HIRMEOS consortium will cover travel and accommodation costs of the selected participants.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Applicants will be invited to share their feedback during the open floor discussion following these four presentations:<\/p>\n\n\n\n


1. Marina Bantiou (Ionian University), Creating New Communities through Open Access<\/em><\/a><\/div>\n\n\n\n

2. Samuel Moore (King\u2019s College London), No amount of open access will fix the broken job market: publication strategies for early-career OA advocates in the humanities<\/em><\/a><\/div>\n\n\n\n

3. Nelson Henrique da Silva Ferreira (University of Coimbra),  Editing science: issues for achieving formal uniformity and academic criteria in the current context of Open Science <\/em><\/a><\/div>\n\n\n\n
4. Erzs\u00e9bet Toth-Czifra (DARIAH-EU), Towards an interactive map of Open Access book publishers <\/em><\/a><\/div>\n\n\n\n

<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The workshop will take place on the 2nd of June in Marseille, France as a side event of the Elpub Conference<\/a>. Applications are welcome from every member of the research community (scholars, librarians, publishers, other professionals) interested in the topic, but applications coming from early-career researchers and professionals are particularly encouraged.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Successful applicants will receive a grant to support their travel costs to Marseille and a maximum of 2 hotel nights.<\/strong> Travel grants will be assigned continuously until the extinction of the budget. <\/strong>
The registration to the Elpub Conference is not supported by the grant.  <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

If you are interested, please send your CV and a short statement (no longer than 8-10 sentences) on how you could contribute as a discussant to our workshop as soon as possible to Andrea Bertino (<\/strong>bertino@sub.uni-goettingen.de<\/strong><\/a>).  <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
